How do you get a Google review link and QR code?

A link that opens the review window directly means fewer steps for your customer.

In short

Get your review link and QR code in your Business Profile under Reviews › Get more reviews.
According to Google, the QR code is created in a computer browser; it cannot be created on a phone.
Send the link to every customer with the same neutral sentence: asking for reviews in exchange for gifts, or only from happy customers, is against Google's rules.

What is a review link for?

Instead of telling a customer "Could you find us on Google and leave a review?", you send a link that opens the review window with one tap. Fewer steps mean more people write a review. The QR code for the same link can go on the counter, a table or a receipt.

How to get the link and QR code

With the Google account that manages your Business Profile, open your profile in Google Search or Maps.
Go to Reviews, then Get more reviews.
Copy the link with the share icon or download the QR code. Use a computer browser for the QR code.

Where to share it

At the end of the WhatsApp message or email you send after the service.
On the receipt, invoice or a thank-you card.
As a QR code in a visible spot at the till, on tables or in the waiting area.

To write a review, the customer must be signed in to a Google account. A Google account can also be opened with a non-Gmail email address.

Rules: do not

Offer discounts, gifts or money in exchange for reviews.
Send the review link only to customers you think are happy; ask everyone the same way.
Have your staff, family or a company write reviews.
Write a review on a customer's behalf or suggest what it should say.

Reply calmly and briefly to every review, including the negative ones.
